EMPLOYEES VOTE PRIDE MOBILITY PRODUCTS AMONG THE BEST PLACES TO WORK FOR 7TH STRAIGHT YEAR
Exeter, PA – January 25, 2010 – For the seventh consecutive year, Pride Mobility Products Corporation earned the distinction of being named one of the Best Places to Work in PA in 2009. Despite a statewide influx of 24 new businesses entering the list, Pride was ranked 35th out of 50 large-size companies and holds one of the highest rankings for companies operated out of Northeast PA. Pride received the honor at the Best Places to Work in PA awards ceremony Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center.
“Earning this award for the seventh consecutive year is continued acknowledgement by our employees that Pride is a rewarding place to work,” said Ann Sadusky, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration. “The Best Places to Work in PA nomination process is based completely on employee feedback and provides us with an excellent opportunity to assess how we are doing. This insight has allowed Pride to go well beyond the basics when it comes to employee compensation and benefits. In the last year we’ve added some new incentives, a monthly birthday luncheon with our CEO, onsite BBQs in the summer and a comprehensive fitness and wellness initiative that we feel has helped us maintain our place among PA’s Best. ”
“In addition,” continued Sadusky, “the Pride-sponsored events that place an emphasis on employees’ children, such as the Children’s Holiday Parties, are received with great enthusiasm, as is the Pride Employee Summer Picnic, as they provide social opportunities for employees and their families.”
“We appreciate the confidence our employees have once again expressed in Pride’s ability to deliver an exceptional work environment,” said Scott Meuser, Chairman & CEO. “It’s our employees’ continued feedback and belief in our company that drives our continued commitment to the development of benefits and programs that help Pride to earn the distinction of a best place to work in Pennsylvania year after year.”
The Best Places to Work in PA for 2009 awards program, designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, is a public/private partnership of Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, and the Central Penn Business Journal. The two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in PA consists of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics, and an employee survey to measure the employee experience.
