PRIDE MOBILITY PRODUCTS CORPORATION HELD COMPETITION TO PROMOTE EMPLOYEE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Exeter, PA - May 28, 2010 - Pride Mobility Products Corporation recently held "Pride's Biggest Loser Competition" to help employees lose weight, get in shape, and encourage meaningful weight-loss behaviors rather than fad dieting. The competition kicked off on January 15 and ended on April 23 with a total of 138 employees participating and one grand prize winner.
Participants took advantage of special events, such as local walks and marathons, consultations with nutritionists, personal trainers, and other health professionals, and weekly weigh-ins to help track progress. In honor of such tremendous success, a nutritious celebratory luncheon was recently held at the company's Exeter and Duryea facilities for participants where congratulations were offered to all. Attendees shared what had worked for them throughout the competition, with many saying they plan to maintain what they are doing so as to continue on to further success. The competition's winner was presented with a cash grand prize after taking the lead during week three and maintaining a first place position throughout, losing 29.17%, or, 76.4 lbs. total.
