POWER CHAIRS
A power chair is driven by using a joystick that accelerates, steers and stops a power chair. The joystick allows the chair to move forward, backward, left, and right. The power chair does not require significant upper-body strength.
SCOOTERS
Designed similar to a motor-scooter, a mobility scooter has a 3 or 4-wheel configuration and a front tiller (which controls the steering) with handlebars that turns the front wheels. The front tiller will require the rider to have upper-body mobility and strength.
LIFT CHAIRS
A power lift chair looks just like a your favorite recliner but has a power lifting mechanism that pushes the entire chair up and forward to assist the user into a full standing position and the back into a recline position.
