NON-TRADITIONAL BENEFITSEmployee Referral Program Pride will reward an employee making a referral $50 when the referred applicant is employed and active for a 6-month period. Employee Stock Ownership Program Since January 1, 1998, employees have been rewarded with shares of stock. At the beginning of each year an independent appraisal is conducted to determine the updated value of each share. The value has really grown due to the contributions from Pride and the high performance level of the company. Employees must be vested with 5 years of service, with 1,000 hours of service worked in each year, to be eligible for the value of the shares. Employee Hardship Program Pride’s Confidential Hardship Program is designed to provide financial assistance when employees are faced with unexpected burdens. This can be due to any financial emergency within the immediate family. The amount of money distributed will be on a case by case basis. Employee Assistance Plan An Employee Assistance Plan is available to every employee (full-time or part-time) to provide advice and counseling during times of need. This service allows up to three one-on-one visits with a licensed professional per issue type. This service is free, easy to access, and 100% confidential. College Scholarships Pride has established a scholarship program for the children of all employees who are full-time and have completed one year of service. For your child to qualify, he/she must be a post-secondary applicant. Selection of winners is based on various factors such as GPA, goals, achievements, community involvement and letters of recommendation. $500 scholarships are awarded to chosen participants. Service Awards Pride recognizes those who reach service excellence at anniversary milestones. Employees that have 5, 10, 15, and 25 years of service are rewarded with a gift. Employees achieving 10 or more years are honored at a yearly 10+ service event and receive the day after Thanksgiving off. Holiday Parties Pride provides parties for various events throughout the year for all to enjoy including: Easter Party for Children, Summer Family Picnic for Employees and their Family, Halloween Party for Children, Holiday Party for Children and Year-End Party for Employees. Attendance Award Program Pride provides hourly employees with a $50 gift card and two hours of scheduled PTO quarterly for meeting attendance award criteria. Birthday Luncheon Pride celebrates employees' birthdays each month with a luncheon and company updates/questions with CEO. All employees receive a gift from Pride on the day of their birthday. Birthday & Service Recognitions Pride's Birthday Express is published monthly to recognize birthdays and service anniversaries. Home & Auto Insurance Pride offers the convenience of payroll deduction of MetLife home and auto insurance coverage at group rates. Wellness Programs The CEO Healthcare Challenge is a challenge to each employee and his or her family to lead healthy lives and to be aware of healthcare costs. Pride is committed to education, assisting and encouraging its employees to be healthy by offering: on-site Smoking Cessation classes, Weight Watchers at Work, Pride’s walking club, discounts to area gyms, annual wellness fairs, periodic health screenings and a wellness website/bulletin board where information is posted about various health topics weekly. Entertainment & Employee Discounts Discount movie tickets for Cinemark Theater; Discount Entertainment Books; Discount tickets at various parks for summer and winter activities. Discounts available for local businesses; Sam’s Club Memberships; and cell phones. Pride Cares Program The Pride Cares Program was created to help our employees when unexpected circumstances come into their lives and they are in need of temporary assistance during the holiday season. These formal plans can include assignment of a mentor, measurable goals, educated pursuits, and scheduled performance evaluations which are designed to consistently evolve as each employee and/or the organization evolves. |
