EXETER, PA – Pride Mobility Products Corp. Government Affairs Department is pleased to announce the addition of Julie Piriano, PT, ATP, who will join the Pride team as Director of Rehab Industry Affairs, focusing largely on complex rehab issues.
In her new role with Pride, Julie will serve as a proactive industry resource on legislative, regulatory and other issues impacting the complex rehab industry. She will also continue to cultivate and strengthen relationships with our providers and assist in addressing their needs.
Seth Johnson, Vice President of Government Affairs said, “Julie’s strong clinical background and provider experience is a great compliment to our government affairs team and will help further strengthen our efforts in Washington on behalf of complex rehab providers.”
Julie brings an impressive work history in the DME industry to Pride. Most recently, Julie was the Rehab/MCO Manager for Apria Healthcare Inc. where she oversaw the Medicare Complete Department and was responsible for monitoring and implementing Medicare and Medicaid changes impacting their Rehab Division. She also regularly educated referral sources on the management of, and compliance with, Medicare processes and paperwork requirements.
Julie is on the RESNA Professional Standards Board, is a Seating & Wheeled Mobility SIG Physical Therapy PSG, a Friend of NRRTS, and an active member of RESNA, the American Physical Therapy Association, and the Illinois Association of Medical Equipment Suppliers, where she serves on their Executive Board. Her expertise and versatile background make her a strong addition to Pride’s Government Affairs Department.
Julie officially joins Pride on Monday, March 3 and will be attending the AAHomecare Washington Legislative Conference on March 4th-6th.
