PRIDE MOBILITY PRODUCTS UNVEILS THE INDUSTRY’S MOST COMPREHENSIVE SEMINAR TOUR IN 2009

Exeter, PA – January 20, 2009 – Pride Mobility Products Corporation announces the 2009 Pride University Seminar Tour. The comprehensive 29-city national tour begins on February 12 in Charlotte, N.C., and continues through September, with a final stop in Wilkes-Barre, PA, near the company’s headquarters.

Since 2000, Pride Mobility and Quantum Rehab have invested in a comprehensive, annual Seminar Tour that travels the country presenting Continuing Education Units (CEUs) via courses approved by the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences. In addition to the accredited courses, Pride also makes available company experts in the fields of product research, design, testing, electronics, mechanical functionality, and funding in order to enhance providers’ expertise in the mobility products industry. These educational sessions present providers with the opportunity to stay current on product features and functionality, resulting in greater client support and satisfaction.

The industry demand for education is rapidly on the rise with the increase of contact hours (CECs) and CEUs required by many state and national governing bodies. The 2009 Pride U Seminar Tour provides unprecedented opportunities to meet these professional development requirements, with curriculum including PMD Documentation, Technical Service, Retail Mobility, Advanced Electronics and Seating and Positioning. In addition, Pride’s successful RESNA prep course will be offered in select cities, along with a new Business Solutions course for business owners and professionals, offering economically sound, patient first business solutions that will help Providers succeed in these challenging times.

The 2009 Pride U Seminar Tour offers CEU courses at a reasonable price, the best seating and positioning instructors in the industry, and first-hand demonstrations of Pride and Quantum Rehab’s newest product innovations. With seminars and educational opportunities at 29 different locations, the 2009 Seminar Tour delivers more content to our Providers while reducing their travel costs for even further value.

The Seminar Tour presenters consist of a team of certified specialists who also are featured speakers at industry-related conferences and seminars throughout the country. This year, well known industry specialists such as Jenny M. Lieberman, MSOTR/L, ATP, who oversees the Wheelchair Clinic in the Outpatient Rehabilitation Department at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY, Christine Maurer, MPT, ATP, who serves as a Seating and Mobility Clinical Therapist at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA, and many more will share their expertise on the 2009 Pride U Seminar Tour.

Bryan Anderson, Quantum Rehab spokesperson and a decorated Iraqi War veteran who was injured in 2005 when his military Humvee encountered an explosive device, resulting in the loss of both legs and one hand, will serve as the keynote speaker at several Seminar Tour locations. Bryan will attend the Anaheim, CA, seminar on May 14 and 15, the South Bend, IN, seminar on July 14 and 15, and the Boston, MA, seminar on August 19 and 20.
