As a buyer of home medical equipment, you know it's a big job to separate fact from fiction when it comes to products' qualities and capabilities. And who better to give you the straight story than other buyers?
That's why we surveyed a sampling of home care providers from coast to coast to find out how they rate the lines they carry. We wanted information on the basics-home care beds, oxygen concentrators, standard wheelchairs and power wheelchairs. We asked providers to rate these products using the following criteria:
- Reliability/Durability-Their repair needs and how long they last.
- Ease of Use-Their ease of delivery, setup and patient instruction.
- Manufacturer Support-Warranties, technical support and service support.
- Overall-All of the above considered.
They told us the manufacturer and model of the products they carry in each line. Then, they rated each on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being poor and 5 being excellent. We tabulated the scores of the products that providers most repeatedly listed in the survey. Be sure that this is not the definitive guide to the universe of home care products. In fact, it is but a small collection of opinions from randomly selected providers. Nevertheless, we hope this gives you valuable information in your product purchasing efforts. |
